Anything that can build muscle in your upper legs (Quads) From what I’ve heard multiple variations of the squats are excellent for this.

Dude, you can’t even run a 5.2 forty. In fact, you were never even timed for one, were you?
If you REALLY played football, you’d be asking your might and conditioning coach that question, not a bunch of strangers on a public internet site who never played football or lifted.
Rising speed guarantees not anything about playing varsity.

Bear Down doesn’t know what he’s talking about. What determines speed is preflexes, reflexes, length of tendons, all determined genetically by heredity, and can’t be modified. What can be improved to increase speed is realize brilliant technique and determine a natural cadence to stride length ratio.
Lower body weight training only increases the force with which a football player can hit another while running, torque, not speed.

Check with you track coach for exercises that the sprinters do. They practice will make you a small quicker.

Run quicker harder and never give up, build leg muscle and run run run not it straight lines go and do sprints such as sprint to the 10 yrd line and back then go all the way up by ten yrds until youve done the entire field

dont listen to homo, there are plenty of excellent ways. i played ss in high school myself, even tho i was small huge larger, 6’3 210. the best advice i can give is ur 40 time is not going to matter as much as you movement. although you want to be as quick as possible the real difference when playing protection is lateral quickness. Ladder drills, and hip rotation drills will allow you to recover quicker and pursue the ball. also you will to start developing strong hamstrings which allow you to accelerate and change management better without wasting try. Also, i dunno where you play football, but ur gunna need to get urself to about 180 to really be a SS for a varsity football team. excellent luck

steroid moe- you talk alot of sh*t for a guy who wastes his useless life meeting around and beaking people on yahoo f*ucking answers, sick life if you had balls you would get laid, your doubtless one of those losers who makes two accounts so if you get told off on one account you can sign on the other one to say”oh well you lie about your forty you’ve never really been timed for one ” when really they have. so get a fucking life and go out of your moms basement, idiot.

here you go nick, i hope this helps
