You don’t need to know anything really. Yahoo has some set stat to point numbers, all you really need to know is how to add people to your league, (commish tools–> invite )
If you need help when the draft time comes along, or right through the season, just contact me, I’ll doubtless still be here…sadly.
All you do is set the pts system, like how many points is a td and stuff. You can just leave it as the default settings. You also are in chagre of draft time and number of teams in the league. For the draft you can have an online draft or an offline where you have to enter the draft manualy on your own time. If you do the live online draft you should do a snake order draft where you pick 1-12, then 12-1, 1-12, 12-1 and so on.
When you go to Yahoo and start the set up of your league, as Comissioner you need to select a few options. It helps if you get feedback from the other people regarding which options they prefer, then set it up. Basically you will be the desk of the league ( basic terms) You will kind of police terrible behavior, settle disputes and make sure everyone is playing honest and also you need to say your people of new info. The Yahoo Fantasy Football is pretty much idiot proof. I’m a housewife and mother of 4…..If I can do it, I’m sure you can. Excellent Luck and have fun.
P.S. Click on any help associations when background it up, it will help!
the owners in your league should be voting on the process (how you’re going to score, trade deadlines and vetoes, waivers, etc…) Once your rules are set, yahoo is pretty simple to use.
As commissioner, you may be questioned to choose on and consent trades. Be strong, don’t let others push you around.
Most importantly even if, if there is a fee, make sure you get everyone’s money up front and then take care of it so it’s available when it’s time to pay out.
Not anything worse than waitng weeks or months for money you won honest and square.
Read EVERYTHING. Do a head-to-head league, and I would suggest for the first year, be very hands-off. It may not be a tricked out league, but at least people will know EXACTLY what the rules are… and let yahoo take care of the rest.
