Whole bases divided by at bats. A single is 1 base, a double is 2, a triple is 3 and a homer 4. If all your hits are singles it’s the same as your batting average.
It’s not really a percentage, it’s an average of whole bases divided by at bats. For example, if some goes 2 for 4 with a double in a game, the slugging percentage would be .750.
